SDLC and phases of SDLC?
What is SDLC?
SDLC describes life cycle process of development of Software
Process of SDLC:
SDLC process contains below phases:
1.
Requirement Gathering
2.
Analysis
3.
Design
4.
Coding
5.
Testing
6.
Delivery
7.
Maintenance
1. Requirement gathering and Analysis:
Task: Interacting with customers and gathering the requirements
The business analyst (BA) will take appointment from the customer and propose RFP (Request for Proposal)
If Customers are agreed to give projects then customers will prepare Software Requirement Specification (SRS) document and give to the company.
Now Engaged managers are responsible for the following:
1.
He deals with the excess cost of the project
2.
He is responsible for the prototype demonstration
Prototype: Prototype is a roughly and rapidly developed model which is used for demonstrating to the client in order to gather the clear requirements and also getting confidence of project.
SRS document can also call as:
FRS: Functional requirement specification document
CRS: Customer or client requirement specification document
URS: user requirement specification document
BDD: Business development design document
BD: Business document
BRS: Business Requirement Specification document
2. Analysis phase:
Task:
i)
Feasibility study
ii)
Tentative planning
iii)
Technology selection
iv)
Requirement Analysis
Feasibility Study: Feasibility Study I a detailed study of the requirements document in order to check whether they are possible or not
Tentative planning: Both the resource as well as the time is temporarily planned clearly mentioned here in this section.
Technology selection: List of all technologies that are required to accomplish this project successfully is listed out in this section.
Requirement Analysis: Lists of all the requirements like human resources hardware and software that are remained to accomplish this project successfully are listed out here in this section.
3.
Design Phase:
Chief Architecture will develop HLD and LLD documents.
HLD (High Level Design) : In this CA will divide the whole project into modules by drawing some diagrams using UML
LLD (Low Level Design): The CA will divide each module into sub modules by drawing some diagrams using UML
4.
Coding Phase:
Task: Programming or developing
The developers will develop the actual source code by using coding standards
5.
Testing Phase:
Task: improving the quality of a software
In this phase tester will testing the application exe and improve the quality of software by using STLC.
6.
Release Phase:
Task: Releasing developed software to customer.
Project Manager, some developers and some testers are involving to release software to customer during this phase they will prepare Software Release Notes document
This document describes about installation process of application, what functionality are developed and so on…….
7.
Maintenance:
During this phase company concentrates on customer modifications or new requirements to be developed.
levels of testing, manual testing, non functional, qc interview questions, qc tutorial, qtp, qtp 10 vs qtp11, UFT, valodation, types of testing.,
